As more and more quality teachers leave the profession and teacher shortages increase, the quality of teachers and education declines. Our decline in state test scores reflect that many students are struggling.
Kathy Schmaltz will prioritize reforming our education system including reducing class sizes, encouraging parents to be active partners with schools to have a voice in their child’s education, and ensuring every child will be able to read by the 4th grade. Kathy will work to provide parents with the ability to choose the best schools for their children.
